THE ISC TRAVEL GRANT AND STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - APPLY SOON!
FRANKFURT, Germany, January 14, 2020 – The ISC Group calls on early career researchers and university students to take advantage of the ISC Travel Grant and the ISC Student Volunteer programs, respectively. The programs are intended to enable these participants to attend the 2020 ISC High Performance conference in Frankfurt Germany, from June 21 – 25.
The ISC High Performance Travel Grant Program is open to early career researchers and students who have never been to the conference and wish to be a part of it this year. For recipients traveling from Europe or North Africa, the maximum funding is 1500 euros per person; for the rest of the world, it is 2500 euros per person. ISC Group will also provide the grant recipients free registration for the entire conference, as well as mentorship during the event.
The purpose of the grant is to enable university students and researchers who are highly interested in acquiring high performance computing knowledge and skills, but lack the necessary resources to obtain them, to participate in the ISC High Performance conference series.
If you’re interested, visit the website to find out more about eligibility and the specified application process. Only complete applications made via the application form on the website will be considered by the evaluation committee.
Applications may be submitted at any point between now and February 15, 2020.
ISC Student Volunteer Program – apply by March 15
If you are a student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, or any STEM-related fields, and high performance computing (HPC) is on your radar, volunteering at ISC 2020 can help steer your future career in the right direction.
The conference is looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to help us run the event, attended by over 3,700 HPC practitioners and technology providers. In return we offer you the opportunity to attend the tutorials, conference sessions, workshops and the ISC HPC Career Day for free.
ISC 2020 is held in a very comfortable, safe environment, and we provide housing for all out-of-town students.
As a conference that promotes gender equality, female STEM students are encouraged to use this forum as a stepping stone to gain insight into the academic, research and commercial environments that make up the HPC community. Furthermore, as a close partner of the conference, the Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) network will be organizing a number of events in conjunction with ISC 2020. Don't miss out on the opportunity to socialize with well-respected female researchers and corporate leaders.
If you require any further information about either program, please do not hesitate to contact the programs coordinator, Ms. Colleen Sheedy.
